Such medical conditions include enlargement of the facet joints, soft tissues overgrowth as well as bulging disc which becomes the reason of annoyance to the nerve root due to its flowing out of the spine and so a person feels pain in the sciatic nerve.
Another common cause of sciatic nerve pain or also known as Sciatica includes spondylolisthesis which usually occurs in the lumbar spine. It can be differentiated when one vertebra slips forward over contiguous vertebra. The sciatic leg pain occurs due to dislocation and slipping of vertebra which causes thickening of the sciatic nerve.
Spondylolisthesis is actually there since birth but as the child grows then the problems grows too sometimes as a result of physical stress or trauma.
